Facebook Inc. has announced a major update to the Facebook SDK for iOS that adds support for the Object API, native Login Dialog, and native Share Dialog.

The social networking giant has updated its iOS Dev Center so that coders can immediately access the tools and resources they need to build Facebook-integrated apps with support for iOS 5 and above.

“With the new tools we’re unveiling today, we’re excited to see even more high quality mobile apps integrate with Facebook to engage with our 680+ million mobile users,” says Douglas Purdy, director of Product Management.

The Facebook iOS SDK 3.5 introduces new APIs and features that integrate Open Graph into social apps, “allowing more people to tell their stories on mobile.”

Web servers are no longer needed for this functionality now, and developers get a Native Share Dialog, and an improved mobile login experience with a user-friendly permission model and a faster login dialog.
