Facebook has released an updated version of its Messages application for people who carry out conversations on the world’s biggest social network, adding a few fixes and improvements.

Facebook Messenger 2.7 makes it easier and faster to open the app and switch between messages, and you’ll notice that scrolling and overall performance is much improved, according to the release notes.

More languages are now supported, including Croatian, Hungarian, and Slovakian, and several bug fixes are also included. In case you’ve been having issues with the app, this is the best time to update.

No word on iOS 7 compatibility yet, but I’m guessing Facebook has already made some tests.

The app requires only iOS 5 to run, and most iDevices currently in circulation are supported. Although Facebook Messenger is not natively supported on iPads, it is compatible with tablets too.
