MoboTap Inc. is out with a new version of its popular Dolphin Browser for iPhone and iPod touch devices. iPhone customers in particular are targeted by the 7.3 update, as it fixes a crash occurring on cellular networks.

The developers don’t specify whether Dolphin Browser 7.3 has any device-specific enhancements, but at least from one line of text in the release notes we can deduce that the update targets cellular-capable devices. iPhones, to be precise, because this is the non-iPad version of Dolphin.

Dolphin 7.3 is said to fix crashes associated with 4G network connections. We know the iPod touch doesn’t do that, so we’re left with iPhone users as the main target for this particular patch.

But the update also improves the app’s launching speed, according to a second bullet point. And, because of that, the third enhancement is “Optimized memory recovery mechanisms.”
