St. Clair Software has released an updated version of Default Folder X, the company’s file & folder management utility for OS X.

Default Folder X tracks recently-used folders and gives you fast access to your most-used, or most important files in a customizable manner.

Users can even assign command keys to reach their favorite files and folders in a split second.

The updated to version 4.6 Beta 3 fixes visibility handling of the bezel window, an issue reported by some users.

According to St. Clair Software, “This works around a Mavericks bug that incorrectly makes Default Folder X’s bezel window visible when the active display changes on a multi-monitor system.”

Softpedia reader can download Default Folder X for free and try it out for 30 days to see how it works. After the trial period ends, the app will nag you to buy a license.
