Shooter fans looking to play Call of Duty: Black Ops with a PS3 controller, rather than a mouse & keyboard combo (for one reason or another), can now do so by downloading version 1.18 from the Mac App Store.

Aspyr Media has released an interesting update for Call of Duty: Black Ops on the Mac, which enables players to hook up a PlayStation 3 gamepad and aim with those cumbersome analog sticks.

Furthermore, those who are playing the game on a Mac with Nvidia GPUs running 10.9.1 should now see an improved experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops now supports both the PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller and the Xbox 360 wired gamepad. For those who download Call of Duty: Black Ops for the first time, the minimum requirements are 2.4 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM, 15 GB free disk space, and 512 MB VRAM.

Aspyr also announced that it was celebrating the Mac's 30th anniversary with a discount on all of its games.
