BitTorrent Sync, the free app that lets you sync an unlimited number of files and folders between various devices, has received a maintenance update to address some problems.

Giving you access to all of your synced folders when you’re on the go, BitTorrent Sync lets you add photos and videos from your iOS device to any of your Sync folders, as well as send photos and videos from your iPhone directly to your friends, as long as they are also using BitTorrent Sync.

Other cool features include Camera Roll backup, encrypted file transfers, no clouds involved, QR code scanning, and more.

Version 1.2.47 is out with “bug fixes and performance improvements,” though I honestly couldn’t find a single negative review on iTunes for the past month or so.

iDevice owners are advised to employ the app on Wi-Fi (not cellular). The developers state, “Please note that BitTorrent Sync is a personal file syncing application. It is not compatible with torrent file sharing applications.” To download BitTorrent Sync you need iOS 5.0 or later and any iDevice that works with the respective firmware.
