Vuze, formerly known as Azureus, is one of the most used BitTorrent (P2P) clients for the Mac. In a recent beta release, the people at Azureus Software have squashed some bugs.

Don’t get your hopes up for any new features. With the recent release of Vuze 5.0.0, we’re in for a new (and long) development cycle focused on fixing errors and making tweaks here and there.

In the latest release, Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 16, the development team fixed a case where text wasn't being set on initial switchSuffix, as well as height calculation when there was a border.

Lastly, the update restructures “createComposite” to return Composite, so that subclasses can also make use of the function.

Vuze is a universal binary which runs on most Macs in circulation today. It requires only OS X 10.3 to run and is available as a free download for everyone.

One thing worth noting (for people who haven’t used the software yet), Vuze requires Java 1.6 or newer versions to run.
