Skype 6.11.455 for Mac has been out for a while but a changelog discussing the update hasn’t been available until now.

Nick Kocharhook and Tom Huang writing over at the Skype Garage blog are delighting us with an announcement involving Skype for Mac 6.11, a new version of the video-chatting, instant-messaging tool which reportedly focuses on “quality.”

A bug involving full-text search of messages with Unicode characters is addressed on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Infinite scrolling is fixed on Mavericks (OS X 10.9), and a nasty “disk I/O” bug preventing users from logging in has been squashed.

Links becoming blurry when dragged to a display of a different resolution should now be a thing of the past, along with file transfer messages displaying incorrectly. Download Skype for Mac 6.11 and fix your bugs today.

“In addition, we improved searching to allow you to more easily find all relevant content,” according to Kocharhook and Huang. “You’ll see this in the new behavior of the conversation’s find toolbar, which now searches into the past for you. Less scrolling FTW! You can also search for more types of messages in the Search field, including file transfers.”
