The latest Diablo III patch is now live for all players, including die-hard fans running Apple’s Mac OS X. Bringing the hack-and-slash RPG to version 1.0.2, the patch brings numerous fixes and improvements.

A general fix, players will now automatically join General chat when logging in, and the public chat list will now sort alphabetically. Monks will see the duration of immunity granted to nearby allies from crowd control effects reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second.

Players should no longer receive an "Error 14009" when logging in, and the "Select a Hero" menu will now also display the difficulty level for each character. Several speed improvements have also been made to the streaming downloader, says Blizzard.

Players experiencing technical issues with the patching process are being told to visit the company’s support site for assistance.
