In a fresh announcement on its Developer site, Apple is notifying its developer install-base that iOS 5.0.1 is widely available to customers, which means they must document themselves with regards to the latest changes in the software.

One such change is the new data management system with iCloud storage. Apple previously informed developers that iOS 5.0.1 introduces a new way for devs to specify the files that should remain on a device, even in low storage situations.

“iOS 5.0.1 is now available to iOS users worldwide,” Apple now states. “Be sure to read the iOS Data Storage Guidelines to understand the latest on managing data with iCloud storage.”

Only developers enrolled with the company’s $99 annual program can gain access to the documentation.
