Boxshot, a Mac app that lets anyone create realistic 3D mockups of things – so you can be the first to start iPhone 7 rumors – has received a fresh update with lots of new features and tweaks.

Boxshot features over 50 customizable shapes which you can use to create virtually any type of object. Mainly stuff that doesn’t exist, of course.

It renders things so lifelike that “customers may think they are seeing the actual product photo,” according to its developers. And with the release of Boxshot 4.1, the software is getting even better.

The app now understands embedded color profiles, which means you don't need to convert CMYK to RGB anymore, while PSD-files now have color profiles and transparency support.

The Collada parser is improved, scripts and jobs got some fixes, and there’s a new Materials panel which offers faster previews. Some minor bugs have been squashed, and the update is free for all existing users.
