Early adopters of the 2013 MacBook Air model with 802.11ac wireless capabilities have been reporting connectivity issues on Apple’s forum.

Apple, for its part, has been listening to the complaints. Noticing that it’s a widespread problem with the new generation of MacBook Air computers, the Cupertino company decided to work up a fix.

However, instead of blindly releasing it to the public hoping it’ll shut everyone up, Apple decided to distribute a test build of the software through its AppleSeed channel.

Select customers are being sent invitations to log in to AppleSeed and download the software update to see how it fares. If MacBook Air WiFi Update 1.0 passes the test with flying colors, you can expect it to pop up in your Mac App Store’s Updates tab in the next few days.
