Users find that the wireless connection repeatedly drops

Apple would have loved to get its latest MacBook Air laptops selling without any problems, but buyers seem to have found a problem with them: the wireless connectivity.

The new 802.11ac connection works fast, no doubt about it, but it has problems.

In a thread on the Apple Support Communities website, people have been reporting an issue on the 11-inch and 13-inch updated notebooks.

A store in London has even revealed, to Gizmodo, that it has also got complaints.

In layman terms, the problem is that the wireless connection drops unexpectedly, regardless of the router. Even Apple's own AirPort accessories are affected.

While the initial Wi-Fi network connection is established without fuss, it cuts off after a short time.

We'll have to keep an eye out for further developments. The updated MacBook Airs have been out for just a week, so Apple should be able to recall and fix the laptops, and remove the flaw from the unsold ones, easily enough.
