Using a marker pen font, Apple slashes the “eight” to replace it with a “nine”

Last week Apple published a new iPhone campaign aimed at drawing attention to its handset amidst Samsung’s Galaxy S4 launch. At the time, Apple noted that JD Power and Associates presented the iPhone with eight consecutive awards for consumer satisfaction.

Scrub that, Apple said today, as it slashed the eight with red and wrote nine in a handwriting font just above the marketing text.

Apple states in the promotional material, “Apparently love can be measured. And it keeps adding up to iPhone. In nine straight studies by J.D. Power and Associates — that’s every study since the first iPhone was introduced — iPhone has been ranked ‘Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Consumer Smartphones’.”

Apple also points out that its iPhone ranked highest in key categories tracked for smartphones, including performance, physical design, features, and ease of operation.
