An updated Mavericks GM build has been seeded to developers over the weekend as Apple prepares to release the final bits to end users this week.

The first Mavericks GM build (13A598) was handed to developers on October 3. Soon thereafter, the Server GM was made available for download. Now testers are receiving an update to the original Client GM with a slightly bigger build number (13A603), but no details are available regarding its contents.

With Mavericks scheduled to arrive in the Mac App Store this week, the update is most likely a maintenance release addressing last-minute bugs.

Interestingly, the updated GM build isn’t reflected on Apple’s developer portal, meaning the company is dishing out this update via the Mac App Store.

Tomorrow’s iPad event is expected to yield not only new hardware announcements, but also the release of OS X 10.9 aka Mavericks.
