14 DAY TRIAL // A problem with crashing applications downloaded from the iTunes App Store has been rectified, according to an official statement provided by Apple to the press.
The WSJ-owned All Things D has obtained the following statement from an Apple spokesperson, regarding a bug affecting a number of applications downloaded from the App Store:
“We had a temporary issue that began yesterday with a server that generated DRM code for some apps being downloaded. It affected only a small number of users. The issue has been rectified and we don’t expect it to occur again,” Apple said. “Those who have an affected app can re-download it from the App Store,” the statement further adds.
The problem had been originally discovered and documented by Marco Arment, creator of the popular Instapaper, a reading application that saves content for offline use.
