A new batch of technical documents is available to Apple TV customers via the Support area of Apple’s website. The Mac maker has basically updated some old documents to reflect the particularities of the three different generations of Apple TVs.

One of the basic Apple TV knowledge-based articles, HT4366 explains how you’re required to connect the cables. The document has been updated to show users how to properly tether Apple TV (2nd generation) and Apple TV (3rd generation).

Another tech-note thoroughly explains how to work the various ports and connectors that can be found on the back of the device, while another explains the status light and what each color means.

There’s even a support note dedicated to changing the name of your second-generation Apple TV. Apparently, some customers have been having trouble in this particular area. Another guide shows you how to control all types of Apple TV with a third-party remote.

Finally, HT1600 offers instructions on how to update your Apple TV software.
