During today’s special event, Apple confirmed that all iWork and iLife apps are becoming free downloads for all Mac and iOS customers.

At San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple today announced that all of its iWork and iLife apps are now available for free to all users of Apple devices.

If you own a Mac or an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch), all you need is an Apple ID to access the iTunes App Store and download both suites completely free of charge.

iWork includes Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, three productivity tools which enable you to write rich text documents, create presentations, and make (and edit) spreadsheets. iWork also offers collaboration features via iCloud.

iLife is comprised of iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand, for managing and editing photos and videos, and for creating awesome music.
