New perk announced for employees, likely to iron out retail controversy

Apple staffers are getting a new perk in light of some controversial changes occurring in the company’s retail organization. Staffers are being offered 50GB of free iCloud storage, which amounts to a $100 (80 EUR)/year value.

With the standard iCloud account offering only 5GB of storage, employees are now getting ten times that amount for doing a heck of a job.

The move could be tied to John Browett’s plan to instate some changes in the retail department, but it appears that the perk applies to all employees, not just those pushing iPhones and iPads around.

The image above supposedly popped up in the staffers’ email accounts, with a form that allows them to complete the iCloud storage upgrade.

iCloud gives customers access to their music, photos, calendars, contacts, and documents, everywhere they are, from whatever device they’re currently using.
