Apple CEO Tim Cook has had a change of heart since the Mac blogosphere lamented on the company’s decision to force retail staffers to work on Thanksgiving, a day reserved by Americans every year to spend some quality time with the family and a roasted turkey.

The Cupertino company was said to have ordered a dozen stores to keep their doors open on Thanksgiving, anticipating a stampede of customers. Whether or not that prediction is accurate, Apple has since backpedaled on its decision, and will allegedly keep all stores closed on November 28.

What caused the change? Well, it was reportedly Tim Cook who decided it was only fair for employees to be home with their families for the holiday. Which bodes well with his recent piece on gender, race, and sexual orientation equality written for the Wall Street Journal.
