“Engaging in any form of live blogging during WWDC sessions is expressly prohibited”

If you were wondering whether you could photograph or video record keynotes or sessions at WWDC 2012, Apple has a two letter answer for you. Since “yes” is made up of three letters, you can guess which one that is.

Indeed, Apple will not allow any type of live blogging or recording during WWDC sessions. The WWDC 2012 FAQ expressly states that “Content presented at WWDC is subject to your applicable Apple Developer Program agreement(s). Taking photographs, recording video and engaging in any form of live blogging during WWDC sessions is expressly prohibited.”

The only event where attendees will be allowed to shoot video and photos is the June 11 keynote kicking off the five-day event. There, a number of hand-picked journalists will be allowed to document the one-hour presentation that will hopefully yield some new hardware announcements, not just iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion (which we already know about).
