14 DAY TRIAL // Via its Developer portal, Apple is announcing the Volume Purchase Program for Mac Apps, which enables end-users to buy multiple copies of an app with a single transaction.
Apple informs developers that “Mac apps will soon be available through the Volume Purchase Program, allowing businesses and educational institutions to purchase multiple copies of your apps at once.”
Developers looking to make their apps available through the Volume Purchase Program must agree to the latest Mac Developer Program License Agreement and all attached Schedules.
Additionally, application sellers must ensure that their tax and banking information is set up properly in iTunes Connect.
For developers looking to offer a discount for schools, Apple offers a checkbox dubbed "Discount for Educational Institutions." Application vendors can learn more about the volume purchase program on Apple’s Developer portal.
