Improvements:
Re-enabled the "Add Sender as New Contact" feature within Daylite Mail Assistant.
Added a Daylite Mail Assistant icon to the corner of the Mail compose view. Clicking it triggers the Daylite Mail Assistant toolbar button to show the popover.
Stability improvements to Daylite Mail Assistant.
Fixes:
If there is a popover being displayed in the Daylite Mail Assistant window, it will now properly be hidden when switching to another application and restore when switching back to Apple Mail.
Fixed an issue that could cause the wrong attachment to display within the Activity View.

Our teams have been working on an improved sync system that will carry us forward to the future. The objectives of this sync system are:
Handle more users and larger databases.
Work smoothly on big sync changes.
Boost the efficiency of individual syncs.
Provide better support for future changes
To accomplish these goals, we have made the following:
Syncs:
If you make a big change (i.e. bulk edit), Daylite breaks it down into smaller groups and syncs them separately over short time intervals.
Changes made on one device will trigger syncs on any other devices.
Daylite will automatically sync every 10 minutes.
Improved error reporting and handling when sync issues are detected.
Data updating in the UI:
When using another application (like Mail or Safari) and Daylite is not active or in the foreground, Daylite automatically updates the UI with the inbound changes.
If Daylite is in the background, the UI updates as changes sync in.
Updating to the improved sync system:
As part of this update, the database files will be updated when logging back into Daylite.
If you have unsynced changes from an older version of Daylite, you will not be able to update the database. To resolve this, you must trigger a sync in Daylite and restart the app once the sync is completed. The system will attempt to update the database again.
Downgrading to an older version is not recommended. Please contact Support if you have any issues.
Improvements:
Added the ability to change the deactivated owner of a shared smart list.
Added an option to set a Pipeline in the main Opportunity Detail Edit View.
Added the ability to set a value in the main Opportunity Detail Edit View. This only happens when no line items are set in the Estimate tab. Otherwise, the field remains uneditable and uses the total set from the Estimate section.

Fixed an issue where Daylite would crash during an import while the application was syncing.
Fixed a display issue with the Preferences window where it could show overlapping buttons.
Fixed an issue where a Contact linked to a Daylite user could be deleted from the All Activity view.

New URLs created from Daylite using Edit > Copy Hyperlink now generates the URLs as “daylite://” instead of “daylite4://”. Older URLs created with “daylite4://” will continue to work.

New in DayLite 6.0.4 Build 434 (Jun 6, 2016)

Daylite:
We’ve improved the performance when merging with Microsoft Word for Mac 2016 so it’s faster.
Previously, using the merge feature to pull info from Daylite into a Word document did not work. This has now been fixed.
There was a bug that wouldn’t merge a Word doc unless the template was already open. This has been fixed.
Sometimes when restoring a note from the Trash, the actual details in the note stayed behind in the Trash. This has been fixed.
We fixed a bug where when importing an opportunity from a delimited text file (for example, spreadsheet), the unit and unit price were not imported properly as line items.
There was an issue for Daylite Cloud customers where running the “Counts” report would not work. This has now been fixed.
We fixed an issue where sometimes the “Cancel” and “Create” buttons looked like they were cut off when trying to apply an Activity Set.
We squashed a bug that made it difficult to sometimes view your task titles from a task list. If the task was linked to a Project or Opportunity with a very long title, only the Project or Opportunity title would be shown. Now the title of the task is shown no matter how long your Project or Opportunity title.
Ever notice how when you’re in a note or email slide over that sometimes you can see the Timeline indicator with the date? This has now been fixed so nothing will get in your way of note taking.
We changed the title of the “Save All” button so it’s now simply “Save” when you’re creating a new item in Daylite.
We now limit the number of active file/attachment transfers to 20 at a time. This improves performance and prevents Daylite and Daylite Mail Assistant from going into an un-responsive state when launched.
We’ve also made some other under-the-hood improvements to file/attachment transfers for Daylite and Daylite Mail Assistant.
We also made some minor localization improvements.
Daylite Mail Assistant:
We fixed a Mail crash that could happen when Daylite was quit while you had a Mail compose window open.
We fixed an issue where attachments could sometimes get “stuck” in the “Daylite File Transfers” window during the upload process.
Sometimes when using Daylite Mail Assistant and viewing an item such as a contact or project, the “Show in Daylite” and “Edit” buttons looked kind of wonky for languages other than English. This has been fixed.
Daylite Server Admin:
Made a small under-the-hood improvement to Daylite Server.

Flexible Task Lists:
When working in a project or opportunity, tasks can now be freely organized into separate lists. Tasks Lists are separate from pipelines and you can drag and drop to reorder.
Smart Filtering for Tasks:
Tasks can be quickly filtered by Category, by User, or by Keyword using the Smart Filter bar. This can be done within a project, opportunity, or general task list.
Faster Task Editing:
Task details now appear to the right and are always in edit mode.
Calendar Year View:
Adds an additional calendar view that allows you to see your schedule for the whole year. Dates are colour coded to identify how busy the day is.
Mini Calendar:
Additional calendar in the sidebar. Click the calendar icon in the bottom left corner of the Daylite sidebar to open or hide the mini calendar. Appointments and tasks can be scheduled by dragging and dropping onto a date in this calendar. Select a date to show what is scheduled on that day. Double click a date to jump to that date in your main calendar.
Redesigned Pipelines:
Each pipeline stage progressively fills up blue to show how much of each stage is completed. A portion of the pipeline stage will appear red if any tasks within that stage are overdue.
Project & Opportunity Highlights:
The Details & Activity tab within each project and opportunity indicate how many days are left until the expected due date. The Tasks & Pipeline tab indicate how many tasks are remaining. If any tasks are overdue, that number will appear in red.
Call or FaceTime from your Mac:
From a selected person or company within your Daylite contacts on your Mac, you can initiate a call for FaceTime on your iPhone:
iWork 13 Pages, Keynotes & Numbers Support:
Pull info from Daylite into Pages, Keynote, or Numbers such as customer details or task due dates from Daylite right into these applications using merge keys.
Open Addresses in Maps:
Click on any address from a contact detail to quickly open it in Maps on your Mac.
Quick Link Buttons:
Buttons have been added to the Activity window of items so you can easily create new items that will be linked to the project, opportunity, contact, etc. that you have open.
Multiple File & Reference Linking:
Link files and references to multiple items in Daylite such as a Dropbox link or document.
Additional Activity Set Fields:
Activity Sets now have more fields such as the type, details field, and location.
Bulk Edit Preferences:
Within the Daylite Preferences you can select multiple items at a time such as multiple Keywords to delete.
New Polished Look:
Visual refinements have been made to make your information easier to see. Fonts have been slightly enlarged and colours have been brightened to call out specific information.

New Sync Indicator:
Not only has the sync engine been improved, we've also added a Sync Indicator. It is located in the top right hand corner of the Daylite window, just beside the full screen button. Similar to Mail app, the indicator will not be visible if everything is working as expected, however if an issue is detected, you will see the connection lightening bolt icon. Clicking on that icon will produce a popover with relevant information regarding the issue. The sync icon also has the ability to turn red with an exclamation mark when a more serious issue is detected. Based on the issue you receive, you will notice a link to a support article in the popover.
Duplicate Checker:
You can now find duplicate people and companies using the Edit -> Find Duplicate Contacts menu item
You can specify a master record and them combine multiple records into the master. We try our best to move the data into the appropriate places. If there is a conflict or an unknown situation, a note descripbing the issue will be added to the selected master record

Daylite Search has been significantly extended and improved with the following:
It now searches Notes, Emails and Forms. Further, it searches all major fields, including details, addresses, custom fields and more.
The search popover now displays secondary information which shows how an object matched the search criteria.
If the search returns more results than what can be displayed, you can click the "more" button to see additional results. If you still cannot see the object in question, you can click the "Show all results in list" button to display them in the main window list view. Within the main window list view, you can apply further filtering using the filtering popover (magnifying glass).
You can specify multiple words separated by spaces in the search field to perform compound searches. This new depth of searching extends to linking popovers throughout the application as well.
You can use the keyboard arrow keys to navigate the search popover and you can specify a global hot key in the General preferences to access the search while in any other application.
The search keyboard shortcut has been changed to Command-Option-F to make it more consistent with other apps and accessible from anywhere within the app.
Filtering has been improved with the following:
Added the option to filter by "Items matching text" giving the same in depth searching capabilities as search but narrowed to a single object type.
Added the option to filter by Job Title and Department.
Added the option to filter by Details of a Group.

Calendar functionality has been significantly updated with the following:
You now have the option to publish your Daylite calendar as one calendar or as separate calendars based on the category. This option is set in the Calendar Sharing preference pane.
You can print calendars by specifying page size, date range, font size, mini calendar and legend. Use Command-P or File -> Print.
You can now specify whether to start the calendar on the first day of the week (respecting the first day setting in System Preferences) or looking forward from yesterday onwards.
Added ability to set a specific user or resource as the default invitee for new appointments through the Default Values Preference pane. This makes it easier to manage the calendar of non-users.
Appointments organized by an external invite can now be partially edited.
Added ability to resend an external meeting invitation.

Printing has been improved with the following:
Added configurable options for labels in Person, Company, Project, Opportunity and Group areas.
Added configurable options for envelopes in Person and Company areas.
Added configurable options for multi-column lists in all areas where multi-column mode is available.
The configurable options include the ability to change the printer, paper size, orientation and font size.
For multi-column lists, you can specify whether column sizing respects the column widths in the view, are proportional or if they are equally spaced. You can also specify whether the background row colour is derived from the category on the object, alternate row colour or no background row colour. Further, you can specify if you want vertical or horizontal grid lines.
Numerical columns are automatically summed at the bottom for multi-column lists.
Configurations are remembered by object type and can be saved as individual templates.
Forms can now be printed on an individual per page basis.
Added print previous estimates when viewing them.
Added Billings Pro Integration. This requires Billings Pro 1.6. Billings integration is forthcoming. Implemented functionality includes:

Added Interactive and Drill Down reports:
Developers/Web Designers/Partners (not the end user) can now create very rich interactive reports using HTML 5, CCS, Javascript, SVG and FScript. Raphaël, gRaphaël, jquery, and ico libraries are included but you can include others (such as Google Charts) or your own.
Inline FScript is used to extract data from Daylite and JSON is used to transfer that data into the Javascript environment.
Reports can have multiple pages. Users can navigate from page to page using hyperlinks with arguments. Hyperlinks can also be used to go to specific objects within Daylite.
The same system can be used for print layouts, however no new print layouts are included in this release.
Documentation will be released about the same time as the app is released.

Counts. Revamped to use the new system with drill down page that shows creation line chart for the last 30 days.
Opportunity vs Contact Creation. Line chart that allows you to compare creation pattern of opportunity vs people vs companies.
Companies by top 10 categories. Shows a piechart of top 10 categories. Counts lead to a drill down page with matching companies listed.
People by top 10 categories. Similar to the previous report.

Added ability to create a new task through a global hotkey which you can specify in the General preferences. If you are preforming this while in another application, only the minimized task entry window appears in front leaving Daylite in the background and out of the way. You can expand the minimized window to show all fields. The expanded state is remembered.
Added a popover to allow editing of all fields in a line item, not just the ones that appear in the line items table.
The option to dismiss all non-invitation alerts now appears at the bottom of the notification list when more than two items are shown.

Reminder changes: Reminders have been completely reworked, allowing for unlimited reminders for any user on any appointment and task. This also resolves sync problems associated with multiple reminders on an appointment or task that were encountered by some users. Reminders on repeat appointments are also properly supported now.

Allows unlimited reminders for appointments and tasks to be created by any user.

Task changes:
Some options for tasks have been reworked to simplify and enhance the management of tasks.
Added a new "Inbox" for tasks. You can manually add tasks to the inbox for reviewing and processing them later. You can do this by selecting the "Inbox" checkbox in a task card or dragging tasks to the Inbox in your Source list pane. In the Default Values pane of Daylite Preferences, you can select whether you wish to add all new tasks to the inbox.
Users can now set a "Someday" flag on tasks and use the corresponding Smart list to manage those tasks. When you are not sure about when you will be doing a task and/or whether you will be doing it, but you want to record it for future reference, you can set a "Someday" flag on it.
There are changes to task priorities, so existing values will be transformed into new ones. The mapping is as follows: 1(High) is retained as 1(High); 2, 3, 4 is retained as 2(Medium); 5(Low) becomes 3(Low).
There are changes to task statuses, so existing values will be mapped into new ones. The mapping is as follows: Other, New become Open; Routine becomes In Progress; Determine Action becomes Pending; Determine Delegate becomes Pending; Deferred, In Progress, Done, and Cancelled remain the same.
Added a command in the Create menu to convert an existing task into a project (moves the task to trash). For example, this is useful because sometimes you start by creating a task; however, as you proceed you find that there is a lot more involved and it would be more ideal as a project. For a task with sub-tasks, Daylite converts the main task into a project and sub-tasks will be linked to the project.
Added the ability to mark all sub-tasks as "Done" when the parent task is marked as "Done." Conversely, if a single sub-task remains to be done, as soon as you finish it and mark it as "Done," the parent task will also be marked as "Done."
Preferences changes:
Update to the Notifications preference pane have been made to support the new reminders, allowing to create default reminders for both appointments and tasks, and the option for automatic creation of these when accepting appointments or when an appointment or task is assigned or delegated. Additional flexibility has been added to the Default Values pane. Locations can now be administered in the new Locations pane. Additionally, all preferences for database users are now stored in the database instead of the local system.
Default reminder settings can be created separately for appointments and tasks.
Significantly improved User Defaults preference pane. Now includes the ability for the administrator to set global user defaults which apply to everyone, or individual users can override global defaults with their own preference. Administrators can also copy all user defaults from one user to another.
Added a Locations preference pane, where users now have the ability to automatically manage the list of locations that will be available in the task window.
All user defaults are now stored in the database.
Other changes:
Added recruiting and custom software development database templates. These templates have preset categories, keywords, pipelines and other preferences that are customized specifically for the recruitment and custom software development industry. You can view a sample database for each of these templates or create a new database from the template and start using Daylite right away.

Sync fixes: There have been fixes to bugs in the sync mechanism, both for Address Book syncing as well as calendar syncing.
