Tablatures for Mac
Tablatures or tabulatures are commonly used to share songs by providing the instrument fingering, rather than the notes musical notation. This technique is usually adopted when it comes to dealing with string instruments.
Tablatures is a Mac OS X tablatures editor that enables you to create and edit your own music scores for guitar or bass. The best part is that the app is compatible with other popular editors such as PowerTab or GuitarPro: this way you can share your music sheets with others regardless of the operating system or editing applications they are using.
Adjust the score settings
To get started you must decide if you want to create a guitar or bass score and then specify the guitar tuning. In addition, you get to adjust the tablature staff line spacing and font size, or the font size for the chords names.
Simple tools for creating music sheets
The song tablature is edited in the app’s main window, but Tablatures offers a wide range of editing options via small panels placed around the sheet editor. This way you get to change the notes duration or accent, add tempo markers or floating text, choose a chord form the chord Dictionary, and more.
Add lyrics to your songs
Besides the actual music notation, Tablatures enables you to store additional details about your current project via the File Information panel. Here you get to specify if you are working on a song or a lesson, add a title and an artist, input release and authoring information, details about performance notes or lyrics. This way you can have a complete view upon the current assignment.
Easy to use tablatures editor
Tablatures enables you to create your own guitar or bass scores and offers a wide range of simple yet efficient tools for editing music sheets. Most importantly, the Tablatures projects are compatible with PowerTab and GuitarPro which means that you can share them with friends that use these popular tablatures editors.
