Parcel for Mac
Parcel is a very handy multi-platform application that enables you to keep track of the postal deliveries from more than 200 services straight from your Mac, iPhone or iPad. The app can automatically detect the courier based on the code number of the delivery and even displays the delivery place on a built-in map.
Getting started with Parcel on the Mac is quite straightforward, in part thanks to the iOS-like user interface. When you see the compact user interface, all you need to do is to click on the Plus sign and add a new delivery by specifying the tracking number, courier and optional description.
As mentioned before, the app can automatically detect the delivery service as you type the tracking number. Parcel provide support for tracking companies such as FedEx, TNT, USPS, UPS, SignPost and many more. Additionally, you can track as many deliveries as you wish (but only 3 in the free version).
Furthermore, another major feature is the ability to detect the delivery using an integrated map (powered by Google). When viewing the map, Parcel displays the delivery spot and the exact hour and date. In addition, you can use navigation buttons to browse through delivery places.
As far as preferences go, Parcel provides just a few. Thus, you can select which deliveries to display (all, active or completed), sort the deliveries by last updated date added or estimated delivery date, toggle a menu bar item, adjust the date counter and configure the notifications (which is a Pro feature).
All in all, the Parcel app does exactly what it says and provides users with a stable and trustworthy solution to tracking deliveries. Besides allowing you to effortlessly track deliveries from over 200 world-wide couriers, the app supports map viewing, notifications and cross-device synchronization.
