  • This maintenance release adds support for macOS Catalina, improves performance, and fixes an issue where the App Store version didn't include Retina icons.

New in XMenu 1.9.9 (Apr 6, 2018)

  • This maintenance release adds retina icons and support for custom icons of aliased volumes. It also supports App Transport Security, resolves aliases faster, and installs itself into the Applications folder if necessary.

  • This maintenance release adapts the menu handling to OS X 10.9 Mavericks, supports the new way additional developer software comes with Xcode 4 or later, and fixes minor issues:
  • Improved: Menu handling adapted to OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
  • Improved: Developer menu displays contents of "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications" if there is no folder "/Developer/Applications".
  • Fixed: Minor issues in case of user home directories not located in "/Users".
  • Fixed: Due to a revised online help, the Welcome to XMenu help topic couldn't be found anymore after launching the application for the first time.

  • NEW ‘Snippets’ menu (‘~/Library/Application Support/XSnippets/’) to easily insert documents and files into the current application. Supports e.g. plain and rich text files, text clippings and Internet locations.
  • NEW Right clicking on an XMenu item in the menu bar opens the alternate menu to access preferences etc.
  • Improved User-defined folder is now ‘~/Library/Application Support/XMenu/’, existing folder is automatically moved to the new location.
