  • Notes in Presentation mode:
  • Our first release of the Notes feature displayed notes using tooltips. This was a temporary solution and today’s release brings a rich display of notes in a side view.
  • This way you can easily present your wireframes and display attached notes at the same time.
  • Widgets that have an attached note are displayed with a numbered callout that you can click on to highlight the corresponding note in the side view.
  • You can hide the notes side view by toggling on the Hide Annotations option from the context menu or by simply pressing A.
  • Notes in PDF:
  • Notes exported to PDF now better support multiple languages. Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages are now exported correctly with appropriate PDF font, but also right-to-left languages like Hebrew and Arabic.
  • The same as in Presentation mode, you can use the Hide Annotations to enable or disable the export of notes to PDF.
  • Improved editing for notes:
  • Notes view has also received some improvements. The undo & redo now works as expected, it’s now easier to edit long text, and there is an auto-completion helper popup that can be opened using Ctrl+Space.
  • Other changes:
  • Fixed an issue with PDF export in batch mode
  • Fixed an issue with rotated labels with embedded icons causing editor errors

  • The latest release adds support for a much requested feature – configurable fonts. Until now the only supported font was the system font. This is a reasonably good default but things break when you try to edit the same screen file on different systems.
  • The latest version allows you to configure a font for each screen.
  • A global preference lets you to choose the default font to be used for new screens.
  • If you wish to edit a screen on multiple OSes then you need to choose a popular font that is present on all of them. Possible choices include fonts like Arial, Verdana and the often hated Comic Sans. Despite its reputation Comic Sans can be a good choice for screens with a sketchy unfinished look. It’s also very portable so it’s a good choice for the default font setting.
  • Improved the visibility of the in-place text editor by changing the border color to blue
  • Added support for opening screens from task attachments in Mylyn. This allows a better integration with JIRA, Bugzilla and Trac connectors.
  • Fixed an issue with exporting multiple screen files from the command line
  • Added a dedicated changelog page. Here you can see at a glance the changes in each version. When a version is too small for a dedicated blog post you can still find it’s description in the changelog.

  • Widget grouping. Widgets can be combined into a single group to be maintained together. This can be used to create reusable components:
  • Widget locking. Allows to fix a widget in place to avoid moving or resizing it by mistake. For example you can place the Browser widget in the background and then lock it there.
  • There are some other small improvements. The selection now follows the executed command. When you perform the undo or redo actions the affected widgets are selected and stay in focus.
