  • Voila 3.9.2 is now fully compatible with the latest OS X El Capitan. This update also comes with the following changes:
  • New Voila Device for El Capitan users – Users who wish to record computer audio along with their video recordings will have to re-download the audio device even if already present (El Capitan only).
  • The issue where the menu title wasn’t getting captured in El Capitan has been resolved.
  • A small bug where Voila couldn’t retain changed window sizes in El Capitan is now fixed.

  • iMac 5K recording issues
  • The older version of Voila used to run into issues when used on an iMac 5K. To deliver the best possible experience at this time, Voila will now capture recordings with 2X Resolution by default (2880*1620px).

  • In addition, Voila has tons of improvements and enhancements that make the app even better than it already is
  • ***NEW*** iOS Screen Recording using Voila - Video record the screen of an iOS device on a Mac with OS X Yosemite (only supports iPhones and iPads with lightning port).
  • Note: To record a device for the first time, you’ll need to simply connect the device to your Mac and activate it on iTunes. Next, disconnect & reconnect the device. Also, this feature needs Mac OS X Yosemite and iOS 8 as a minimum.
  • Other Improvements:
  • Voila can now record videos over the Mac's FaceTime camera and other supported external webcams.
  • The Object Capture option can now be accessed during selection captures by pressing the ‘Option’ key
  • Voila now supports importing of webpages captured from the ‘Voila Web Screenshot’ extension into it.
  • Easily Export captures to the new Photos app from the Voila toolbar.
  • The Sharing via Mail function has now been grouped along with ‘Share’ in Voila toolbar.
  • The ‘Spray’ tool has been removed.
  • Several minor bugs fixes and enhancements to increase the overall polish of the app

  • Introduces the new Voila Web extension to capture webpages from within your browser (Safari & Chrome only).
  • Other changes include:
  • You can now export captures to the new ‘Photos’ app (Yosemite 10.10.3 & above). This option is only available through contextual menu (Ctrl+Click) and the ‘Share’ menu in the Voila Menu bar.
  • The File renaming issue has been fixed
  • Screen recordings getting corrupted in mirrored conditions has been taken care off
  • Your Mac now doesn’t go to sleep during recordings
  • The ‘Publish’ button has been renamed as ‘Share’
  • The Marquee tool has been improved upon.

  • Users with email clients Sparrow, Sparrow Lite and Outlook can now directly send the Voila attachments. The choice of email client can be set in the Preferences and multiple attachments can be instantly sent from the app.
  • The URL for each file uploaded on the FTP/SFTP server, Flickr or YouTube is saved in the Info panel. You can copy the URL and paste/embed in other places.
  • Fixes:
  • App was crashing due to a non-compatible 3ivx component in Lion OS X. An error message has been put up while launching the app to inform you about its presence - to move the legacy component.
