UltraKey Changelog

What's new in UltraKey 6.3.3

May 30, 2015
  • Tina Meazell Guides Users to Typing Success:
  • Voice actor Tina Meazell leads UltraKey users through all the critical steps of learning to keyboard. For those who prefer, the voice can be turned off, but customers are already telling us how much they enjoy Tina's praise and enthusiasm. The UltraKey voice has always helped with English learners, early readers and students needing help with attention. Tina makes typing fun, by being a friend along the way.
  • Lifelike Graphics Model Safe Stretching:
  • UltraKey has always recommended stretching at regular intervals to prevent and relieve muscle pain and tension. Thanks to stunning 3D animation from Gunnar Games, the newest UltraKey leads users in a variety of stretching exercises, and teaches new typists how to stretch safely. Played on demand, twelve new videos feature a stunning 3D model with narration to highlight important tips.
  • New Posture Graphics Promote Great Technique:
  • The game artists at Gunnar Games have also provided state-of-the-art 3D modeling for good posture demonstrations. The newly enhanced virtual reality video lets you explore good posture like you are in the same room with the model.
  • Larger and More Exciting Introduction Movies:
  • While we created the new stretch videos, our development team refreshed the UltraKey introduction videos by enlarging them, increasing their clarity, and adding inspiring voice-over. The videos provide an even more valuable orientation than before, while continuing to use hands-on learning for the best effect.
  • UltraKey Graduates Remain the Best Example:
  • The UltraKey graduate who used to show excellent striking technique in UltraKey has long since graduated from school and is now practicing cardiology. The young typist featured in this new release is a fifth grader from Utah, who has used UltraKey since second grade. We had to apply slow motion to the video, so users could follow her fingers.
  • Dynamic Buttons Show the Way:
  • When the sequence control option is turned on in the preferences, users are required to complete UltraKey activities in their sequential order. But how can users visually tell what is next? When sequencing is controlled, activities that cannot be accessed are now grayed or not visible. Other student interfacing elements have been fine-tuned and spoken guidance makes it easy for even the youngest children to know what comes next.
  • Certifiable Speed Reports Displayed:
  • UltraKey has always used international standards for typing assessment, so users could rely on its reports. When Speed Calculation is set to net speed in the preferences, UltraKey now provides more detailed performance reports on screen and in user reports. In an era when typing skill is essential to so many jobs, users can now show UltraKey reports to prospective employers as certifiable evidence of their typing skill.
  • Preferences Interface Streamlined:
  • While offering a wide array of controls and customizations, UltraKey remains user-friendly and easy to follow. To sum it up, we have reviewed every message and function, refining them to what is essential to our customers. Your input is vital to us. We listen and UltraKey responds.
  • Lots of Other Things Improved:
  • When we revise UltraKey, everything gets reviewed and updated from the user guide through to every message the program displays and every function it performs. We corrected a few bugs and errors along the way, and adjusted a few things that customers pointed out. Users are invited to contact the company at any time to report issues and offer suggestions.
