  • Important news for WoW users: World of Warcraft patch v8.1 introduces changes that may affect your addon settings within the app.
  • If your addons do not appear automatically, you can find them again by clicking “Scan Now,” or click “Locate Game” and browse to the directory containing WoW.exe (Windows) or World of Warcraft.app (Mac). Don’t worry—your addons are still there!
  • If you have addon sync enabled, you may need to rejoin your profile by clicking the Sync button.
  • If you have custom settings, such as a preferred release type, you may need to re-select those options.
  • If you are experiencing in any other issues with your addons, please contact support.

  • If you are playing a game or watching a stream, you can now share that status with your contacts as well as on Twitch.tv.
  • Status changes (Online, Away, Busy, Invisible) will update both the desktop app and Twitch.tv.
  • App-wide moderation allows you to block others.
  • A quick onboarding experience will walk you through the app with simple, helpful tooltips as your guide, or skip it and chat away.
