- This is the first 64-bit release of TinyBooks Pro. All previous versions of TinyBooks Pro are 32-bit programs. As this is written, 32-bit programs are still allowed on the Mac. But, the writing is on the wall. Just like Apple already did with iOS (mandating 64-bit only apps), Apple is hinting that that time is coming for MacOS too. And, TinyBooks Pro is ready. (TinyBooks Pro v10.0.0 now requires Mac OS 10.9.5 and later...Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra.)

- Modified the method that TinyBooks Pro uses to associate TinyBooks Pro documents with TinyBooks Pro the application itself. Some users when updating to the latest Mac OSX known as El Capitan (OSX 10.11) might find that their old TinyBooks Pro documents, when double-clicked, don't automatically run TinyBooks Pro. This update fixes that problem. (Just run the new TinyBooks Pro, v8.1.1, itself and then quit the program. Your old TBP documents are now double-clickable again. This update also improves the new Monthly Notes feature added in the previous version. Now the Monthly Window Title indicates whether you've added any Notes to the current month.
New in TinyBooks Pro 8.1.0 (Aug 14, 2015)
- Added a new Monthly Notes feature. Now, each month can include optional notes. These notes might help to explain a transaction when you need more space than the typical Comment field contains. A note might also serve as a reminder to do a certain task in a future month (pay a bill, check the status of some payment, etc.)
- Also fixed a cosmetic-only problem with the Bottom Line Report dialog, and a spelling error in the Help window.

- The (reconciliation) Checkmarks are now saved with the document itself, rather than being cleared each time the document is opened. (They can still be cleared on demand as desired.)
- Added a new preference to deterimine if, when a TinyBooks Pro document is opened, the month first displayed should be the month closest to the current date, or the month that was most recently modified.
- Increased the default width of the Reports Window to better show the Amount column, without first having to re-size (widen) the window.
- Fixed a bug in printed or saved Reports where the Date Range would always show "Full Year", even if it was only a subset of the year that was chosen. (The actual entries listed were always correct as specified.)

- With this release, TinyBooks version 7 has become TinyBooks Pro. TinyBooks Pro is a completely re-written version of the old TinyBooks from the ground up. The new TinyBooks Pro runs natively on any Intel-based Macintosh running Mac OSX (TinyBooks Pro does NOT require Rosetta Emulation as the old TinyBooks did). TinyBooks Pro v7 includes many new features (such as automatic Bottom Line Quarterly Reports, TypeAhead Comments, Enhanced Backup, and more) but the real news about TinyBooks Pro v7 is that it still retains the same ease-of-use as TinyBooks was always known for. TinyBooks Pro is still TinyBooks, but now it natively includes support for all those little human interface niceties (sadly missing from previous versions) such as easy keyboard navigation, mouse scroll wheel support and more. TinyBooks is much less modal, with easily resizeable windows, and lists that are much more easily navigable.
