New in ThinkingRock 3.6.0 (Aug 31, 2016)

  • An action will inherit the project due date if it is set. There is a set-up under the Miscellaneous/Projects tab to use the functionality or not.
  • You can now add a link to a folder. Before you could only add a link to a file.
  • When inserting a file or folder link, ThinkingRock knows remember the last folder you selected.
  • New functionality to create a reference item or someday/maybe item directly from thought.
  • Review Goals screen: new functionality to create a top project from the goal screen;
  • Goal levels: added colored icons to associate to goal level to improve visibility;
  • New functionality: Process Thought now. Most right button on toolbar has been added. You can select one or many thoughts (using mouse, ctrl or shift as per in Review Actions list) and press the button. The Process Thought screen is called with the selected thoughts at the top of the list.

New in ThinkingRock 3.4.2 (Feb 21, 2013)

New in ThinkingRock 3.4 (May 3, 2012)

  • New functionality:
  • a daily calendar;
  • a weekly calendar;
  • default values for time and duration for scheduled action can be entered under the Miscellaneous/Action tab.
  • On the weekly calendar, if you double click on the day header,the day view for that day opens.
  • On both views, you can double-click on an action and update any fields. If the action is set to done, it is striked out but it still displayed so you can see how much you have done each day or how many meetings you had to join....
  • Other changes:
  • on process thoughts: delegate not mandatory anymore;
  • the criteria screen has been split into 3 (to solve bugs);
  • bug fix: search value not kept in Review Actions tab search filter;
  • bug fix: emails with blank subject were not imported.

New in ThinkingRock 2.2.1 (Apr 20, 2009)

  • Internationalization of TR: English American and French versions available. Spanish, German and Dutch versions coming soon, pending review from translators. The reports are NOT translated yet.
  • Email retrieval into thoughts: a manual option was part of the members only modules. We have added automatic retrieval at start-up and at regular interval.
  • Layout improvement on Process Thoughts screen, Project panel and Action panel.
  • Improvement and bug fixes for the iCal functionality.
  • Bug fix on delegated email regarding non-English and special characters.
  • Default status setting when processing a thought.

  • all settings, except the bars position, saved in a separate file called ReviewAction.xml. The file can be shared between different platforms. The file will be saved under the same folder as the data file. We recommend that you do a backup of that file in a different directory.
  • for all the fast entry users: F5 to swap between project tree panel and action panel;
  • F3 and F4 working from anywhere in the 2 panels;
  • focus when action is converted to project is set to the new project;
  • action and sub-project takes the priority of the project they created under;
  • change context and change topic dialog windows: focus on the list for quicker data entry;
  • allow project creation date to be updated. Need to allow it under Preferences/Options/Projects.
  • Wizard to enter recurrency details or modify them;
  • new options for recurrency: every Monday, Tuesday and Friday; every 2, 15 and 27 of each month; every 2nd Monday of the month; every 6th March, 6th June and 6th October.
  • please note that "start date basis" recurrency is now called "regular" and "done date basis" recurrency is now called "subsequent".

  • Inactive action: earliest between Start Date and Due Date;

New in ThinkingRock 2.0 Epsilon (Jan 7, 2008)

  • Focus problems on the Review Projects and Review Actions tree panel have been fixed;
  • A few bugs on the recurrency functionality have been fixed;
  • All known Java errors have been fixed;
  • New file operation: Open Recent. Let you select the data file to open from the last 10 most recent data files you have open;
  • New option under Projects Set-up: default value for the status of the action created when using Add Action (F3);
  • A few shortcut keys had to be changed as we want them to be the same on the 3 platforms. Please look on the right-click menu or on the Shortcut keys help for the details.
