New in PDFGenius 4.13 (Mar 24, 2021)

  • Major update with the best solution to compress PDF vector graphics. Added new 'Optimize graphics' compression option which can remove superfluous information to reduce vector graphics heavy PDF. Increase in optimize graphics from 'Level 1' to 'Level 5' reduces output PDF file size less to more respectively. Choose appropriate Optimize graphics level to balance file size and visual fidelity. Choose Optimize graphics option 'None' to avoid vector graphics compression.
  • This option is very useful when PDF content mainly consist of high precision vector graphics. This option removes such superfluous information, thereby reducing the size of your PDF files. Usually PDF drawing, note-taking and PDF markup apps creates large vector graphics heavy PDF files on iOS and macOS. Now such PDF files will be compressed efficiently using PDFGenius-Compression Optimize graphics option.
  • Now PDFGenius for Mac is macOS universal app, fully optimised to run natively on both Apple Silicon Mac and Intel-based Mac computers.

  • Improvements in PDF compression processing. Faster and more powerful.
  • Added new Mono(Monochrome) color model compression option. Selecting Mono color model compression option converts raster PDF contents into black and white which helps reduces PDF file size to greater extent. It is very helpful when compressing scanned books mainly containing text. Compressing PDF using Mono color model can result 40x smaller PDF.

  • OUTLINE: Outline tool to create and edit PDF document outlines (TOC-Table of contents or Bookmarks). Outline features includes auto generation of outlines by self analysing PDF, auto generation of outline using selected text matching. In addition, complete PDF viewing features like tab panels showing table of contents, page thumbnails and search options and various options for viewing scale, reading history and full Screen mode makes easy-to-use PDF outliner feature.
  • Creating outlines into PDF document to make possible for users to locate content using bookmarks (outline entries in an Outline dictionary) in long documents.   • Auto Magic is an automated way to generate a TOC for your PDF. Outline will analyse the range of fonts used in the PDF, and attempt to tease out a hierarchy of headings.
  • Auto Match is an automated way to generate a TOC from your selected text in PDF file. Just select text in PDF view and click Auto Match to create set of outlines similar to selected text.
  • You can add new outline or nested child outline in table of content list to the current viewing page and location. You can delete one or multiple outlines.
  • Intuitive UI to just drag selected text from PDF view and drop into TOC list to add new outline.

  • French, German, Italian and Spanish localizations have been added.
  • PAGE BOXES: Set Page Boxes (CropBox, ArtBox, TrimBox & BleedBox) of the PDF documents. You can adjust the visible page area by setting CropBox margins. Feature to remove white margins.
  • INITIAL VIEW:
  • Define an initial view property. You can set the initial view to the magnification level, page, and page layout that you want. If your PDF is a presentation, you can set the initial view to Full Screen mode.
