  • We changed how things look in the app. to give you an even better Spark experience. For example, we removed the sliding panel with the Room Details. Now your Room Details are accessed using the icons along the top of the conversation area. That's where you'll find the people, shared content, and other things you used to do there.
  • Some old familiar icons, like the icon to start a new room, changed too. It isn't a big plus sign anymore, but looks like this now.
  • The app is now faster and more responsive.
  • You can do screen captures from the app now too. Just click the plus sign beside the message composer and select Screen capture.
  • If you leave the room without sending a message you’ve written in the message composer, Draft appears below the room filters. Click it to see a list of all your draft messages. Select one to return and finish writing your message.
  • The video for calls and meetings now appears in the conversation area. Plus we added a filmstrip below it so you can see the video of up to four other people who are in the meeting with you.
  • Now you can set the audio, video, and incoming call ringing sources for the app from the App menu in the Apple menu bar when you select Cisco Spark > Preferences.
  • You can also set the notifications for all messages for the app from the App menu in the Apple menu bar when you select Cisco Spark > Preferences.
  • Those helpful coach marks that appear when you use a feature for the first time are gone. But we'll be adding those back in soon.
  • For now, you can't leave your 1-to-1 messages.
  • Clicking on content that is shared in the conversation area opens in your Mac rather than opening to preview in the conversation area. We'll work on adding that back in for you.
  • When running OSX10.10.5 on a MacBook or 13” Macbook pro, we’ve noticed some issues when selecting text in the message area. To fix that, we recommend that you uncheck Look up & Data Collectors in the Point & Click section of your trackpad preferences.
  • We only support OSX 10.10 or later.
