- When SmashTunes is inactive, because Spotify or Apple Music is not playing, the logo of the widget is now less prominent. I also made some changes to how cover art is processed when switching tracks quickly.

- Since macOS Sonoma (14) it is possible to add widgets to your desktop. SmashTunes now provides the option to display such a widget on your desktop that shows the cover art and (optionally) basic track info. You can also add this track info to the original cover art display window.

- This version adds the option to display the genre of your music in the menu bar. Somehow it never occurred to me that this information can be of interest to some. Thanks for pointing it out!
- Another thing that is not used by many people is the option in Music to give tracks ratings that are in between full star ratings. It is now possible to be more nuance in assigning a rating to your tracks by doing this by half star increments. You'll have to turn the option on in the preferences, since this is not for everyone.

- The last version added the option to add Apple Music tracks to your library, or to playlists. This version adds the option to do this with keyboard shortcuts as well. You also get the option to hide playlists from the add-to menu.
- On request a new keyboard shortcut for muting has been added. It is possible to set the volume to mute to as well, so it can be used as a loudness function as well.

- SmashTunes can now better distinguish between the different kinds of Apple Music types of content and adjusts the menu accordingly. Also potential problems with running subscriptions were fixed.

- This is kind of a milestone release. I'm happy that is is now possible to tracks from Apple Music to your library. This can be done by selecting the matching menu item. It is also possible to have SmashTunes automatically add tracks to your library when you love them (or have loved them previously).
- Apart for this, it is now possible to skip tracks when you dislike them. That's what you want to do most of the time anyway.
- The last change has to do with displaying album ratings. They are now displayed as "hollow" stars, instead of solid stars, so you can tell if you rated the individual track of the album or not.
