What's new in Scenario Poker 3.3

New in Scenario Poker 3.0.5 (Oct 6, 2009)

  • Rolled back from version 3.0.3 to address problems in Mac OS X 10.4, where the widget would load in a "frozen" state, without buttons. I have no idea how this happened, short of a corrupt archive or upload.

  • Marketing update to replace expired version.

New in Scenario Poker 2.9 (Mar 14, 2008)

  • If you're a registered user, you can now use your own name and photo from your Mac OS X Address Book, along with absolutely whomever else you'd like to simulate playing poker with.

New in Scenario Poker 2.7.1 (Sep 19, 2007)

  • Fixed a problem with the widget's hyperlinks that could cause it to turn into a web page.

New in Scenario Poker 2.7 (Sep 17, 2007)

  • Improved the way side pots are generated and optimized. When one or more players go all in and another player bets chips that scares out a remaining opponent, those excess chips are immediately returned and the extraneous side pot is dissolved. This should hopefully prevent three major, albeit elusive bugs:
  • The widget should no longer enter a state where all the action buttons are disabled at the end of a round, which appeared to be a hang and forced the user to relaunch the widget.
  • The phantom "Seat 0" should no longer appear to win chips (although it never really did).
  • The first hand in a restarted tournament should no longer start with phantom side pots (which were harmless).
  • Automatic version checking. When the widget is opened, it will display a "New Version" badge if a newer version is available. Click the badge to download the latest version if you choose. The badge will not appear if you have the latest version installed, or if the widget can't contact our server. Note that no personal information is transmitted.
  • By popular demand, a registered and activated widget no longer expires at the end of each calendar quarter. You can keep playing that version if you choose. Some users were confused as to why, after registering the widget in mid June, for example, it would expire a few weeks later when the next version was released. Note that Scenario Poker is not a subscription. All future version 2.x updates are free for version 2.x customers.
  • An unregistered and unactivated widget now displays a $10 chip instead of a PayPal logo. Click this chip to flip the widget over and learn about the benefits of registration. While the widget is registered and activated, the $10 chip will not appear.
