What's new in Quad Tone RIP 2.7.7

- This is a Mac OSX only release specifically for OS X El Capitan compatibility.
- El Capitan prohibits installations in an area that was used by QTR so this update moves those files to a permitted area.
- It's recommended that you update QTR to 2.7.7 before updating your OSX to El Capitan. This cleans out the old locations while access is still permitted. If you don't QTR still will work just fine but if you Add Printer in System Preferences it will appear that 2.7.6 is still installed -- in fact this will point to new code but the 2.7.6 may be confusing.
- The Mac release supports Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard through 10.11 El Capitan.
- Simply install this new version over existing versions.
New in Quad Tone RIP 2.7.5 (Sep 5, 2015)
- This is both a Mac OSX release and a Windows release.
- The primary additions are for various Paper Feed options.
- The R3000 now supports Front Feed for both Fine Art and Poster Board options.
- Roll Feed has been enhanced for the Save Roll Paper option on all the Pro printers supporting rolls plus the R3000, R2880, and R2400 printers.
- With this option you can have a long roll paper size and if you only have images on the leading part all the blank white is chopped off minimumizing wasted paper. This is the same as Epson driver Save Roll Paper.
- The Mac release supports Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard through 10.9 Mavericks.
- Note that the version number in QTRgui reads 2.7.0 but you can see the 2.7.5 version number for QuadToPrinter in the Help>About command.
- Simply install this new version over existing versions.
New in Quad Tone RIP 2.7.4 (May 2, 2014)
- This is a Mac OSX release - primarily to fix some color management issues.
- Consistency of prints from various versions of Photoshop and Print-Tool over all the OSX versions, Photoshop versions and Print-Tool has been difficult.
- Lighter and darker prints have unfortunately happened quite a bit in the past.
- This version has been tested on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard thru 10.9 Mavericks with Print-Tool for identical prints.
New in Quad Tone RIP 2.7.3 (Jan 16, 2014)
- Handles Bonjour printers in the install scripts rather than manual method.
- Easier setup of compatible printers with international names.
- Fixes several image size issues where prints were slightly smaller or larger than expected.
- Allows short roll paper sizes on the pro printers. Minimum of 4 inches instead of 10 inches
New in Quad Tone RIP 2.7.2 (Oct 22, 2013)
- It also has support for many new Epson printers.
- Included are the R2000, R3000, x890, and x900 families.
- Support for all 10 inks on the x900 printers is available.
- The new inks are designated GR = Green and OR = Orange.
