  • Plaster is now a universal build and runs natively in Big Sur on an Apple silicon based Mac.
  • Mac OS 10.10 is the first supported version.

New in Plaster 2.1 (Nov 3, 2020)

  • When choosing to embed an image into a folder icon you can now choose a light or dark folder icon.
  • The online help will switch its display for dark mode.

New in Plaster 2.0 (Jul 5, 2019)

  • The application no longer supports OS versions earlier than 10.9.
  • The application has passed through Apple's notarization servers.
  • The Round Corners advanced option has been replaced by an option called Image Rounding. You can specify the percentage to be applied when setting the x and y radiuses or pick a canned setting from a control. At a percentage of 50, icons can be rounded.
  • The Transparent border and Visible border settings may be specified as pixel (as opposed to percentage) values by entering them as negative numbers.
  • Images can be converted to grayscale.
  • Images can be applied on top of a standard Mac folder icon.
  • When an image is initially being chosen from a folder's contents, a folder.jpg file will always be chosen first.
  • You can now drag images out of Plaster to other applications and optionally have them auto-scaled down.
  • You can now copy images from Plaster and paste files and images into it.
