  • New : Background color can now be 'clear' (ie transparent color) using new 'Clear' option in Preferences. Consequently blank transparent images can be inserted with the "Insert Color" button.
  • Image inset is now applied to each image as well as the final blend.
  • Bug fix : Square blends had their orientation flipped.

  • A new option has been added to the Preferences window for blending labelled 'Inset By Cropping'
  • If this option is NOT selected then images will be inset by scaling them down to reveal the background color rather than by cropping them. Inset by cropping is the default.
  • This is useful if you want to inset the images to reveal a background color without trimming any of the images.

  • General maintenance update.
  • There is now an "Image Inset" slider available in the blender Preferences. Specifies how many pixels each image should be inset, prior to blending, revealing a background color set with the adjacent color picker. The final result is also inset so that the "outer" border is of the same width as the "inner" borders."
  • Added a button labelled 'Open Result in Preview' in the Result window to open the blender result in Preview.
  • Added a button labelled 'Result…" in the Blender window to open the Result window.

  • Fixed an issue with blending images of different resolution.
  • A new blend option is available: Click and hold on the "Blend" button to reveal the popup menu to select "Blend Square". This option blends 4, 9 or 16 images into a 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 array, respectively.

New in PhotosBlender 1.0.3 (Feb 27, 2013)

  • Added a new option to Preferences named "Crop Result", set to OFF by default, that will trim off artifacts of blending. When blending images whose height or width differ from each other the result will contain "black filler" regions. Cropping will trim the result to remove these black regions.

  • Added a preference option named "Megapixel Limit" that allows users to turn off the internal limit on the size of the output image.
