Easy Thought Links: Links to other thoughts can be created in multiple ways. Drag and drop a Thought into the notes editor for an instant link. o Copy and pasting a Thought into notes also creates a link. Links can also be inserted via a command.  “Live” links keep the name of your Thought in notes updated when the connected thought is renamed.  
Easy Web Links:
When a Web link is inserted into notes whether by typing it out, pasting it off the clipboard or by dragging it in from a browser, it’s identified and processed automatically  
Automatic title retrieval replaces the URL with the title of the page it links to.
Hassle Free Images:
Paste images from virtually any source into notes Links to images on the Web, image files, and actual image data are all handled automatically.
Images are downloaded and saved them to the local thought so they will always be available.

Spotlight Integration:
Search results alsinclude Mail messages, Address Book contacts, and iCal events.
The look and feel of the search results has been improved.
iCal, Address Book, and Apple Mail Integration:
Search results for iCal, Address Book, and Apple Mail show “View” and “Add” buttons.
The View button opens the item in the appropriate application.
The Add button creates a child Thought in your Brain under the active Thought with a link t
the item attached.
This enables instant access tall your iCal, Address Book, and Apple Mail information with
nmanual set up required.
Created Thoughts can be linked and used like any other Thought. The only difference is their
attachment links the Thought tthe source data.
Additional Mail Features
Attachments have a new context menu “Email Attachment Using Mail” which opens
Mail and attaches the selected file or files.
Email of URLs via the context menu continues tbe supported:
QuickLook Integration:
The context menus for Thoughts and attachments now have a QuickLook command.
When QuickLook is invoked on a Thought with multiple file attachments or multiple files are
selected, you can browse through the attachment using the arrows at the bottom of the
window or click the icon tview an index of all attachments.
Misc:
Various Mac specific icons updated
Fixed: Context menus on tags don’t work when using the Ctrl key.
Speed and Stability:
The graphics loading and caching mechanism has been overhauled, allowing the usage of very large
thought icons and image attachments.
Memory usage is reduced, UI responsiveness improved, and overall stability increased.
Rendering and interaction performance increased.
Under Windows, OS “handle” usage reduced.
Thought Icons:
On mouseover of a Thought icon, images zoom up t100% or their original size or until they reach
the maximum size that will fit inside the display.
Icon zooming is smoother and hides the search controls if they obscure the image.
If the image file that is the source of an icon is updated, the icon will automatically update. This
feature can be used tincorporate automatically updating information in your Brain. Just link tan
image file and then have another application update that image with whatever you want ttrack. For
example, with a bit of programming you could set up a Web cam image tbe updated every few
seconds and link tit from one of your pinned Thoughts...
Tags:
On the Tags tab. The number of times a tag is currently used appears on the right hand side. Tags are shown in bold if they are applied tthe current Thought.
Tags are rendered with a shadow for increased readability.
Tag hints are hidden during mouseover of Thought icons.
Tags are nlonger shown in the Thought label.
Fixed: Tags are sometimes rendered in the wrong color.
Fixed: Tags show in the plex with a suffix ending with a number.
Fixed: Removing tag color sometimes does not update the display.
Fixed: Tag dialogs can be resized sthat they dnot display correctly.
The display of Tag thoughts is more consistent and they dnot appear unless selected directly.
Other Enhancements:
The number of attachments indicator on the icon never grows larger than the main font height.
Updated various icons.
Experimental: Drag and drop support from Lotus Notes 8.
MindManager Import Fixes:
Images contained inside of notes are now imported.
Imported notes retain formatting and are nlonger truncated.

Presentation Mode:
A tip describing how texit presentation mode is shown in the corner upon entering.
Fixed: Presentation mode should not use auto-hide and always on top settings.
Fixed: Auto-hide of PersonalBrain Window starts hiding inappropriately after exiting presentation

Indexing Fixes:
The document conversion process for indexing under Windows, kvoop.exe, has been limited to spawn a maximum of 4 instances. All instances are removed once PersonalBrain exits.
Fixed: Under Mac OS, Spotlight integration sometimes failed to find results due to queries being too narrow and problems with character encoding.
Tags Fixes:
Fixed: The display does not update when tags are added, removed or modified.
Fixed: Sorting of tags is not correct when using mixed case.

Thought Icons:
Graphic files in PNG, JPG, and GIF formats can be copied from the file browser/desktop and pasted as Thought icons without the need to open them in an image editor first.
This method of pasting a Thought icon has the advantage of retaining transparency information.
General Fixes:
Fixed: Under Mac OS, renaming an internal file creates an extra links to the file with an absolute path.
Fixed: There is a white border around the edge of the presentation mode screen.
Fixed: Adding a single attachment to a Thought can sometimes lead to a shared set of attachments between two thoughts.
The toolbar makes more efficient use of space, especially when Brain buttons are present.
Fixed: Popup tabs display underneath the search text box.
Improved caching of images to increase visual stability.
Fixed: wait cursors do not show properly.
Links to Microsoft OneNote show an appropriate icon.
Fixed: When removing a link to a very long URL, the message box is too wide to fit on the screen.
Fixed: The default font size in notes does not get properly selected in the size drop down box.
Under Mac OS, the default font is now set to Helvetica.

Mac OS X Enhancements:
File Attachment Searching: PersonalBrain now integrates with Spotlight to provide search results from within files. Searches done from the PersonalBrain search box automatically return results from within
files, both internal and external.
The toolbar features customized “Mac style” buttons.
The keyboard shortcuts in notes use Mac standards.
Tags:
Tag Thoughts
Show all the Thoughts with that tag as children.
Are denoted by a special icon.
Are activated by clicking on a tags in the Tags tab.
Can also be accessed via Instant Activate and show at the top of the list.
Can be pinned.
Are not shown in the plex as parents (they use uni-directional links)
Linking and unlinking a thought adds or removes the tag for the thought.
Tags hints are no longer displayed on Thoughts in the past thought list or pins.
Hide tag hints option added under Look & Feel > Thoughts to disable display of all tag hints.
Calendar:
The year can now be set by typing it into the edit box that appears if you click on the year label at the
top of the calendar. This works in both the main calendar view as well as the pop-up calendar views.
User Interface:
Windows Tablet PC input using the TIP window is now supported in the search, create, and rename
input areas.
The toolbar icons are less visually distracting and the toolbar is narrower.
In the Core and Pro editions the PersonalBrain logo no longer appears making more room available on the toolbar for Brain buttons.
The maximum size of the window in auto-hide mode under Windows has been increased.

Increased Stability:
The conversion of documents to text format for indexing cannot crash PersonalBrain.
Tags:
Tags now appear on mouseover of a Thought.
Tags can be made visible in the plex so that they can be seen at all times next to any Thought that
has the tag.
Right clicking on a tag in the “Tags” tab show the “Tags Properties” command. Tag properties include.
Name.
Whether the tag should be visible in the plex.
The color the tag should be displayed using if it is visible.
Known issue: when tags are applied/changed the display does not update until a Thought is activated.
Outline View:
Cleaner and more organized.
Gates and expand/collapse controls are vertically aligned.
Thought names are now displayed without being truncated unless they are wider than the
screen.
Fixed: Activating a Thought sometimes moves it off-screen.
