- Addresses a problem that some users have reported with downloading the full app after they have bought it. Please go to the in-app “Download Settings” if you are still having problems with downloading, and thank you for your patience.
- Fixed the incorrect colors of the speaker icons. The British English speaker icons are now blue and the American English speaker icons are red.

- The 9th edition of OALD has come to Mac OS!
- The free preview entries are now from OALD9 rather than OALD8, and OALD9 is added as an in-app purchase.
- Please re-download OALD8 for free at any time from the Catalogue of Dictionaries. Your Favorites will be preserved.
- You do not have to upgrade to OALD9, but if you choose to do so now or later, you will be offered OALD9 at a discounted rate. Your OALD8 Favorites will also be transferred to OALD9.
- If you decide to upgrade to OALD9, you will get:
- New words and meanings
- New Practice your Pronunciation feature
- New folders in Favorites

- This update introduces the new in-app purchase model. When you update the app, you will receive sample entries from the dictionary. You can re-activate the full dictionary for free by making an in-app purchase. Your Favourites will be preserved.
- We have added a News feature, so that you can receive News from Oxford University about product discounts, language learning and teaching blogs, and other relevant matters.
