  • WIDGETS:
  • Notebook offers different widgets in all sizes to cater your note-taking needs. Create notes, view notes and do more with Notebook widgets on Big Sur. You can customize the widgets and choose the size of your choice. In addition to choosing a widget from the widgets list, you can add a note as a widget. Right click on a note and tap 'Add to Widget' to add that note as a widget.
  • THE ALL NEW SAFARI EXTENSION:
  • Notebook Safari extension is now available for all users who use Notebook with and without an account. The new revamped user interface provides a great user experience to clip your web and add to Notebook. You can now add tags and reminders to note cards before you save those to Notebook.
  • We’ve added additional options to screenshot to cover all your screen capture needs. You can snap the visible part of the web page or the entire page or a part of the web page or only the focussed area. You can also annotate your images before you save them to Notebook.
  • CONTINUITY CAMERA:
  • Notebook adds support for continuity camera. You can now use your iOS devices to snap a photo and insert it in your Text Cards or Photo Cards. You can scan tables and insert as editable tables in Text Cards. Scan your documents using your iOS devices and insert as File Cards in Notebook.

  • We're glad to introduce private sharing in Notebook. Not just jot down your thoughts in Notebook, you can now share it with your peers!

  • If you are a part of an organization, you can share a note to all users in that organization.

  • We've added Meeting Notes to our Safari web clipper. Now, focus more on the conversation and take notes during your online meetings using the Notebook Safari web clipper. You can use Meeting Notes to take notes quickly and save it to your Zoho Notebook account or save it as a .txt file in your device if you're not a registered user. Meeting Notes are compatible with Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Zoho Meeting, Zoho Showtime, Google Meet, and Google Hangouts.
  • View up to 10 versions of a note card if you are not a registered user of Zoho Notebook.

  • WINDOW SUPPORT:
  • Notebook now supports multiple windows on Mac. You can choose a note card to open in a separate window, and open any number of Notebook windows. Right-click a note card to see an option to open it in a new window, or right-click the new note card creation icon to see an option to create a note card in a new window.
  • CREATE TABLES:
  • We're glad to let you know that you can now create tables in Text Cards. You can find an option to create a table in the editor toolbar across all platforms. In addition to creating a table, you can perform these basic table actions:
  • Insert a row above or below a row
  • Insert a column before or after a column
  • Delete a row or a column
  • MERGE NOTE CARDS:
  • Merging your thoughts spread across multiple note cards into a single note card is much easier now. Notebook for Mac introduces an option to merge similar note cards together. You can either choose to delete the separate note cards or not after you've merged the notes. Please note that only similar note card types can be merged.
  • EXPORT NOTE CARDS:
  • Your data is always yours. You can now export your Notebook data and store the backup where you like. Users without a Notebook account can multi-select their note cards and notebooks, and export it as a ZIP file. Users with a valid Zoho account can request to download their entire Notebook data, either in HTML or ZNote format. You'll receive an email with a download link once the export is complete. You can also import these files using the Notebook app.
  • RESET PASSCODE:
  • Notebook requires you to use a passcode to keep your note cards and notebooks secure in Notebook. Registered Notebook users can reset their passcode online. Now, users who use Notebook app without any account can also reset their passcode. The app will now ask you to set up a few security questions when you set a passcode. You can answer those questions when you forget your passcode to reset it.
  • ALL THE EXTRAS:
  • Choose from a variety of fonts installed on your Mac to use inside Notebook. If you'd like to use a particular font in Notebook, purchase that font, install the font on your Mac and set it as the "Editor Font" in your Notebook preferences.
  • Bookmark Cards now open inside the app: simply click the browser icon to open it in Safari. You can now choose to sort your notebooks and note cards differently. You can also choose from a wide range of filters in note cards and notebooks' views.

  • Smart Cards beautify the content you save to Notebook, presenting you with distinct, groupable, formatted note cards. This update introduces the Recipe Card, Video Card, and Link Card.
  • Recipe Card:
  • When you save a recipe from a site we support (list at bottom) we'll automatically find that recipe's photo and description; create a checklist for ingredients; and provide step-by-step cooking instructions. All of this will be neatly organized into a searchable, groupable Smart Card. Notebook just might be your new cookbook.
  • Video Card:
  • When you save a link to Notebook from YouTube or Vimeo the Video Card automatically shows you a video preview and starts playing it in a distraction-free space once you open it.
  • Link Card:
  • When you want to save an article or webpage, simply add it to Notebook. The headline or page title, along with main image, will get put front and center in a nicely formatted Smart Card.
  • DRAG AND DROP:
  • Smart Cards an be created by dragging and dropping from your browser into Notebook.
  • ADD TO NOTEBOOK:
  • Adding content to Notebook just gets easier and easier. Now you right click urls from any browser, or on content anywhere on Mac and an "Add to Notebook" option will appear.

  • DETAILS:
  • File Card:
  • File Card is a new note card type in Notebook. You can now add files to your Notebook using File Card.
  • You can view files like PDF, DOC, XLSX, PPT, PNG, TXT and a few others within the app. The maximum allowed file size in a File Card is 60MB.
  • Menu bar app:
  • Quickly jot down notes anywhere using Notebook menu bar app. You can also create different types of note cards using the menu bar app.
  • The menu bar app has the capability to create and add screenshots in a note card. You can drag and drop files to create File Card in the menu bar app.
  • Spotlight Search:
  • You can now search your notes using Mac’s spotlight search. Look for your notes without even opening the Notebook app using the spotlight search.
  • Evernote import tool:
  • Now you can import notes from Evernote into Notebook. If you already have the Evernote mac app, you can export your notes from Evernote and import them in Notebook. You can find this tool in Notebook app's File menu.
  • The update also includes several bug fixes.
