  • Added native support for Mastodon feeds, including beautifully rendered ‘Toots’.

  • Unfortunately, Twitter integration has been removed due to recent Twitter API limitations.

New in News Explorer 1.11 (May 3, 2022)

  • Data snapshots dramatically speeds up synchronisation with iCloud when syncing on a new device or a device that hasn’t be used for a while. Snapshots are automatically saved to iCloud on a daily basis, as part of the standard sync procedure. In addition to this, we also improved traditional initial syncing performance.

  • New Slideshow context menu item in the Feeds list.
  • Reddit feeds are now parsed by a dedicated parser.
  • Articles marked as Favorite are now stored forever.
  • Option to show the app icon in the menu bar as status item.
