  • Spotify support! NepTunes will now automatically detect currently playing music player - Spotify or iTunes (you can always change it manually in the main menu). It works like you expect - menu "Share" will share links from Spotify, if Spotify is currently used player, playback and volume control etc.
  • Scrobbling from Spotify is turned off by default (because Spotify has built-in scrobbler) but you can always turn it on in preferences

If there is no cover or track is streamed, NepTunes will download it (and it's very efficient with it to minimize network usage). You can customize artwork's window behavior in preferences.

  • All results are cached, which means that NepTunes sends data only when it needed
  • [NEW] Ability to change scrobble time (percentage of, choose between 50 and 100%). If track duration is 8 minutes or longer then NepTunes choose shorter period of time - 4 minutes or chosen percentage of the length.
  • [NEW] Support for Last.fm errors - this is the big one in this update
  • When there are some issues with Last.fm servers, NepTunes will remember tracks and will try to scrobble them later.
  • If there are some issues with your Last.fm session, NepTunes will force log out your user, and sends you a notification. You can log in again in preferences. If user is the same, NepTunes will scrobble all tracks listened after log out. If user unchecked “Open preferences when no last.fm user is logged in” NepTunes will check it again, to remind you every time when you turned on the app, that you’re not logged in.
  • What does it mean for you? That NepTunes is even more reliable and no more “NepTunes stopped scrobbling” thing.

  • Well, number one request is to scrobble streamed music. Actually, even old version of NepTunes can do that. But because of the bug in some music software, NepTunes don't know what to scrobble! I can't guarantee you that next update of this software will fix this issue - that's why I rewrote this app.

  • You can set your own keyboard shortcut to like song, find similar artists and go to your Last.fm profile.
