  • Main highlights include various engine fixes and additions.

New in Marble Blast Platinum 1.50 RC 1 (Sep 26, 2014)

  • Contains changes in the engine-level which allow us to fix some serious bugs and crashes as well as enable moving platforms and cross-platforms (Win/Mac) on Multiplayer.
  • Additional security has been implemented to further stop exploits from happening.
  • In addition to these major changes, MBP 1.50 RC1 includes over 50 new items and over 100 fixes.
  • A few additions and fixes include:
  • 490 total SinglePlayer levels (100 MBG, 120 MBP, 60 MBU, 210 Customs) and 35+ Multiplayer levels
  • Added back challenges and made way more changes to Super Challenges
  • Over 100 achievements
  • New replay system (in-game)
  • Over 80 different marble skins
  • Better Multiplayer Leaderboards
  • Lots of options in the options menu
  • Not exactly addition or fix but removed 24 easter eggs from MBP levels

New in Marble Blast Platinum 1.20 (Apr 25, 2012)

  • All game content now belongs in a folder called 'platinum', instead of 'marble'. The folder structure within the 'platinum' is exactly the same as before.
  • mbpPrefs.cs only saves in the 'platinum/client' folder; no more server prefs or banlist saved
  • Every time you view a new screen, the background will randomly change. The MBP text and logo have also been removed. In the level selection screen, if you switch the game, the screen's background will automatically change to a background for the game you've switched to. Each background has a high resolution of 1920x1080
  • Manual rewritten by Phil
  • Mass compression made to the game. Old filesize was around 190MB, now it's about half of that!
  • Added all of the lb_custom missions for Mac users
  • Reworked marble selection to use only 7 dts files instead of 40.
  • Changed cursor to the default Torque cursor
  • Removed introductory screens; when launching the game, you'll go straight to the main menu
  • Added ingame Field of View slider. By adjusting it higher, you will be able to see more within your field of view
  • Added a new bindable hotkey which allows you to instantly respawn at the level you're currently playing
  • Added FPS meter
  • Teleporter message now has the native MBP 'submessage' instead of the green, and the message text itself was changed
  • Improved keyboard navigation across the whole game

  • Fixed interior testing sometimes displaying Tip of the Day (Windows only)
  • Exiting a custom level that belongs in a subfolder now goes back to that subfolder
  • Custom level times used to only save to marble/data/missions/custom/[level].mis, now it saves within subfolders
  • The Out of Bounds insult messages can be switched on/off. They are OFF by default
  • You can now no longer enter a 'nil' name for your time, the button will grey out
  • Adjusted 'Evil Eye' and 'GarageGames' marble opacity levels
  • Removed Out of Bounds sound
  • New end-of-game user interface, now more cleaner
  • No more unused 'editor' folder in the root directory
  • Jukebox button now accessible from the pause menu. The original key bindings (F5-F8) are still retained.
  • Very small GUI changes

  • Need to manually enter $testcheats=1; in the console in order to activate level editor (the level editor button is broken).
