New in MakerBot Desktop 3.9.1.1346 (Jun 19, 2016)

  • Bug Fixes:
  • Single-walled prints being printed at the wrong speed affecting quality
  • Single-walled extrusions not showing up in the toolpath visualizer
  • Inner shells being printed at higher speeds than recommended
  • Small features in models causing prints to stop before completion
  • Left extruder not heating when printing files generated using custom profiles
  • Purge walls no longer on by default for dual extrusion prints
  • Known Issues:
  • If you’re using multiple printers of the same type equipped with different extruders (Smart Extruder/Smart Extruder+), make sure to open the Settings dialog when switching between printers to ensure extruder settings are properly applied.
  • When printing with an out of date custom profile you will get two error messages: one for the out of date profile, and one for printing with the wrong extruder type. The extruder type error is being thrown automatically and you can ignore it unless you have actually changed your extruder type.
  • Videos in the Learn tab may cause instability on certain systems. Try the "open in browser" option or find the videos on Makerbot.com/Support.
  • During autoupdate, the installer dialog can appear before MakerBot Desktop is completely closed. Wait 5 seconds after the appearance of the installer dialog before clicking "Yes" to start installing.
  • Slicing a file with unicode characters in the filename will fail. To get around this issue, rename your file.
  • If an error is thrown when connecting to a hidden wireless network, please dismiss the error and check to see if you are connected before attempting to connect again.
  • The toolpath visualizations for the Replicator Single, Replicator Dual, Replicator 2, and Replicator 2X begin at the fourth layer.
  • Transformation icons have invisible text labels.
