  • Archive faster than ever: Mail Archiver itself is about 100% faster for everything compared to version 7.0. Additionally, archive from IMAP in minutes with the new option "Archive new emails only".
  • Archive new emails only:
  • There is a new option to archive in a range. You can select to archive only new emails with "since last archival date". Newly selected mailboxes will be archived completely. Afterwards only new emails will be added. The date of the last archival date will be shown.
  • New Option for deleting or moving emails to the trash:
  • "Delete emails in the same date/day range as for archiving" uses the settings from the Options area to delete/move emails to the trash.
  • More IMAP Presets:
  • It's easier than ever to add a new IMAP account. Select GMX, Hotmail, Outlook Live or Proton Mail from the list of IMAP presets. Then you only need to enter your email address and your password.
  • Use your own accounts for sending scheduler emails:
  • Select an account from available ones to send yourself emails. The account must have an email address and an SMTP server.
  • Recover a lost License from within the App:
  • Finally it's possible to recover a license from within the application. Select Mail Archiver X -> Resend License from the menu.

New in Mail Archiver X 7.0.0 (Apr 28, 2023)

  • Modern listboxes:
  • All listboxes now have a modern selection and scrollbars that are only visible when scrolling.
  • Multiple Schedules:
  • Finally, it's possible to have multiple schedules. Like for Plans and Accounts there is now a list of Schedules. Use the Plus button to add a schedule and the Minus button to delete a schedule.
  • As before it's possible to set the schedule period to daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly. For weekly archiving you can set the day of the week. For monthly archiving you can set the day of the month.
  • The options "quit when finished", "start missed" and the email notification are available as before. Don't forget to add one or more plans to the schedule.
  • If the schedule in the schedule list shows a green checkmark then the schedule has at least one active plan. If you see a block icon then you need to add a plan. The schedule will only run if it has a plan.
  • Changes for IMAP Accounts:
  • In version 6.3 I tried to improve the creation of IMAP accounts. You entered an email address and a password and Mail Archiver tried to figure out the IMAP server. I really didn't like the design because Mail Archiver had to guess the type of IMAP account you wanted (Gmail, iCloud etc.). This also led to some fun with the interface.
  • Therefore, I changed the interface back. You now have to select the type of the IMAP account and THEN you can enter email address and password or only the email address if necessary.
  • Speed:
  • Feature 4249: Improved speed for Filemaker.
  • Feature 4967: Improved speed for selecting lots of mbox files.
  • Rest:
  • Feature 4831: On start up there is now a check if the LaunchAgent needs to be updated.
  • Feature 4853: Added tooltips to the bookmark section of the Management Server window.
  • Feature 4895: The launchctl commands now use the new version instead of the old one.
  • Feature 4901: The listbox now look more modern.

  • Instead of using the toolbar there is now a sidebar for the main areas Plans, Account, Schedule, Server for the Pro versions and Options. The sections in the plans that could be opened and closed are now in tab sheets.

  • The installer for Valentina Server is now part of the dmg and doesn't need to be downloaded anymore. The license now also comes pre-installed.
  • Before unregistering a database for the Pro version there is now a confirmation dialog.
