What's new in M-Audio Revolution 7.1 1.6
Feb 2, 2009
- Added support for Mac OS X 10.5. Removed support for Mac OS X 10.3.9 and earlier.
- The control panel is more responsive and better integrated with Mac OS X.
- Added a 7.1 speaker set to the control panel toolbar.
- Improved the Input Monitoring settings in the control panel. Clarify what they do and under which circumstances you should use them.
- Fixed delay processing, which did not work in previous versions of the driver. Please check that the per-speaker delay settings are accurate for your speaker setup, or set all the delays to the same distance to disable delay processing.
- Removed system-wide controls for the individual output channels. Please use the Revolution 7.1 control panel instead. This works around a problem where the first two channels (front left and right) would be reset incorrectly by the system UI server when using the system-wide volume control menu or volume keys on the keyboard. Master volume control is still available system-wide.
- Fixed possible kernel panics on sleep/wake.
- Inflated the package version number to match the control panel version.
