Lostify Changelog

What's new in Lostify 0.7.4

Sep 8, 2008
  • Fixed broken iTunes integration inadvertently damaged in 0.7.3.

New in Lostify 0.7.3 (Sep 5, 2008)

  • Restored compatibility with Intel Macs running Tiger. (0.7.2 was mistakenly released with a version of AtomicParlsey that supported PPC machines on 10.4, but Intel support was limited to 10.5 only)
  • Added a new Debug menu with a command allowing users to copy the exact command line that will be used to invoke AtomicParsley (useful for troubleshooting, educational for the curious, otherwise fully ignorable)
  • Finally fixed the pesky “Can’t make “” into type integer. (-1700)” AppleScript error that happened intermittently when specifying Cast lists
  • Changed the way release dates are embedded to avoid (as much as possible) the wrong date showing up in iTunes when tagged files are consumed in regions with large UTC offsets (time zones close to the International Date Line)
  • Lots of general code cleanup and refactoring

New in Lostify 0.7.2 (Aug 12, 2008)

  • Fixed errors when tagging files encoded with iTunes 7.7.1 and later
  • Fixed errors when tagging files containing embedded Long Descriptions (although full support for embedded long descriptions is delayed for a future version)
  • Fixed iTunes integration bug introduced by iTunes 7.7
  • Added automatic workaround for intermittent problems retagging files that already have metadata
  • Cleaned up Cast and Crew Listing so it only allows editing of known data and hides (but retains) other metadata
  • Added wider range of Movie and TV ratings, including those for France, Germany and Japan

New in Lostify 0.7 (Sep 21, 2007)

  • Added support for embedded cast & crew listings, a la Apple TV
  • Added support for new Apple TV-branded MP4 files exported from QuickTime
  • Fixed the Options drawer so it now correctly remembers whether it was open or closed between sessions
  • Added rudimentary support for iPhone ringtones, although iTunes 7.4.2 appears to have broken it
  • Fixed an issue with iTunes integration where some tags that were cleared out/deleted in the MP4 file remained in iTunes’ database; still happens (unavoidably) with certain tags
  • Improved error reporting/handling
