New in LensFlare Studio 4.0 (Sep 2, 2015)

  • NEW FEARTURES:
  • New Category buttons
  • New effect categories: Real Flare Overlays and Streaks
  • Option-Click to move flare center point
  • The new Option-Click feature is great for offseting a flare's center point. This is useful if you have a flare in the middle but still want to sprites off-center. Also useful for the Bokeh effects. You can have them rotate around an offset center point, such as a light source.

New in LensFlare Studio 3.0 (Nov 21, 2014)

  • NEW FEATURES:
  • Zooming! Many have asked for this and we have delivered. Now you can zoom in to place effects more precisely. Zoom with mouse wheel, zoom buttons, or with two fingers on trackpad, just like scrolling. When zoomed in, use the mouse right-click to drag your photo around. Left click still sets effect position of course.
  • 64 bit color - Re-written the core engine to utilize full 64 bit color throughout the entire pipeline (also known as 16 bit RGBA color). Each RGBA color component is 16bit. Even with regular 8bit color documents, the flares and gradients will be smoother with the internal 64 bit processing. Loading 16bit color documents preserves the full range of 16bit color.
  • Many of the effects have been upgraded to take advantage of 64 bit color.
  • Exif/Metadata - LensFlare Studio now preserves all of your photo metadata such as exif and gps data. This is something I've wanted to add for a while, but wanted to get everything right with this and the 64 bit color update.
  • FILM GRAIN:
  • Three new film grain textures added under the Lens Textures tab.
  • NEW EFFECTS:
  • As a bonus, we've also added a few new effects such as Anamorpheus, Digital Sun, and Morpheus.

New in LensFlare Studio 2.4 (Feb 4, 2014)

  • Restored slider controls to dark grey color scheme.
  • A few minor tweaks to some flares, such as Epoch Index and Prometheus.

New in LensFlare Studio 2.2 (Jul 12, 2013)

  • New sun flares: Helios and Soft Sun. These are soft sun shots based on real photos through soft focused lenses. These can give a warm boost to a bright sky or sunset.
  • Also, a collection of new Shimmer flares. These are soft shimmers of light perfect for adding glare to shiny objects. They are soft, subtle, and natural looking. They work great on metallic logos.

New in LensFlare Studio 2.1 (Jun 28, 2013)
